Savannah’s shoot took place in Atlanta at the Centennial Olympic Park, and ended with a dip in one of their beautiful blue pools. She cracked me up afterward by rolling on the ground, something she apparently does whenever she gets wet. Savannah is awesome.
Thank you Alissa for coming and bringing Savannah for all of us to photograph. She was an absolute joy and I know everyone loved her.
Mouton and Chevre were also accidental models. Their dad Mark works for a french winery, and as a thank you for photographing his boys and sending him prints, he sent me an incredibly generous gift of wine. 8 bottles to be exact, including two bottles of my very favorite- dry sparking white wine, which were deliciously enjoyed this week on my editorial trip to the mountains. In the hot tub no less. Thank you Mark, you are amazing!
I spoke french to the boys while I was shooting them, and you know what? I think they actually understood me.

I’ve been super busy lately, as anyone who follows me on twitter or facebook knows. I’ve been trying furiously to catch up with regular clients, editing images and placing orders, starting on new art commissions and working with return clients. I also just got back from a 3 day trip out of town and off the grid for a fun editorial project you will see more of soon. Because of all of these things, I’ve had little time to blog. So I’m now embarrasingly behind in posting these images, but better late than never, right? I do hope you will agree. As it’s my mission to honor each pet I photograph, I will introduce you to each dog I met in Atlanta and Austin, then catch you up with what’s going on now.
This is Rocco. He was first in our series of dog models in Atlanta last month. He had a full fledged photo shoot on a dry Friday afternoon. So. Cute.
We shot at this great park in downtown Atlanta: Centennial Olympic Park. There were these cool waterfall things, which were perfect to cool off in during the hot day.
I’m a big fan of showing dogs smiling from the nose up, if you can’t tell.
This next pair of shots gives me warm fuzzies inside. Love. them. Love Rocco. Loved this session. Swear to god I have the best job in the world.

call me crazy but I couldn’t resist crowning these superadorable Boston terriers with their very own matching his and hers crowns before putting them on the homepage of my website. Branimir’s shoot was done recently on the waterfront on a beautiful cloudless sky. Brani is owned by the nicest couple you will ever meet- Bill and Nicki Walters, owners of the fabulous and popular Pooper Trooper service. Bill and Nicki have a fantastic business with just about the best customer service in the greater Seattle area, and are passionate about the environment, which makes me love them even more. And it is no surprise that their pooch is a loverboy as well. If you are in need of yard cleaning services, please please give them a shout. You might even get to meet their sweet boy Brani.
I love the colors in the ones against the concrete, with just the blue sky in the background for color, and mostly shades of black white and grey in the rest of the frame.
Running dogs shots are some of my very favorites! I’m a big fan of dynamic pet images with movement.
Check out the black heart spot he has below his ear. Awww. Totally fits this sweet boy.
As if the upcoming Chicago workshop wasn’t exciting enough, there are some super exciting things in the works behind the scenes. Probably won’t be able to post on them until mid September, but one of them will be coming up this week! (Maybe even later today). Stay tuned.
