Before y’all start freaking out and thinking “has hell frozen over? Has Jamie become a baby photographer???”
No. No it hasn’t and no I’m not.
I am a pet photographer. I specialize in photographing pets. Pets (not people, not babies, not anything else) are my specialty. That’s what I do.
This shoot was a gift for one of my very best clients. A client I adore, who, whether she knows it or not, has kept me in business from time to time over the years. I have been wanting to do something special for this particular client, for a long long time. When, after trying for what seemed like a forever, they finally had a baby, I thought, “that’s it, that’s what I can give them- photos of their kid”. So with butterflies in my tummy, and a request for “beer to settle my nerves” I arrived at their house with camera in hand. Here are the results. I’m not a baby person, but I must admit, little Sammy here is pretty darn cute.

One of my Decopaw art pieces behind him there on the right. His furry older brother Dozer.

I love the shot below. Sammy was staring out the window in a milk-induced daze, and his arms and hands were just sort of going all over the place. It’s a great moment of contentment between mom and baby.

How RAD are those pillows! That’s Dozer and Kyah stitched on the front on the one on the right, and a Dozer pillow on the left. I want one of Fergie, bad. I’ll have to see who made them for her.

More Dozer and Kyah decopaw art. Apparently Sammy stares up at Kyah’s purple picture and coos. And he *loves* Dozer.
