Sydney & Sienna British Shorthairs

In Lightroom and Photoshop you have the ability to rate your images with stars. *Very* rarely do I ever give an image I create 5 stars. I think because I am always striving to be better, and also because, although confident, I don’t think I’m ‘da bomb’ when it comes to photography. However, I gave myself more 5 star ratings in these girls shots than I think I ever have. I positively adore these kitties, who live right up the hill from me on Queen Anne. I’d hang out on their living room and photograph them *any day*. Enjoy!

Favorite cat shot ever below on the left. I may even need to get that blown up big for my own wall at home.

Taara + Zorro Basenjis

Basenjis are one of the the most interesting breeds out there. They are curious, inquisitive, loyal, cunning, independent, funny, attached to their owners, and more often than not, smarter than you.

These guys live just up the hill from me on Queen Anne, and Taara is in her golden years, with her buddy Zorro right behind her. I was honored to photograph the pair and hope that, since they are in my hood, I get to see them again.

Zorro- black, Taara- tan.

Zorro lost the corner of his ear to a basenji roommate before he came to live with his current family. I think it makes him look more debonaire, like he has stories to tell.

Basenji feet are very cute. Delicate like a little fawn.

Basenji ears are like a barometer for their environment. Deet-deet-deet-deet-deet-they twittle around, shifting at every little sound.

This is funny. On the right below, Zorro was so not supposed to be sitting up there at the table. I asked to place him there, and his dad was happy to comply. Can you see the look of discomfort on his face? lol

Boo sneak peek

Boo. I year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Very playful, super sweet, 100% adorable.

These two shots were begging to be converted to black and white.

I love Boo’s swishy ears and tail.

We did the first half of Boo’s shoot on Highland Drive, then the second half at her home on the North End of Queen Anne. I feel so lucky that Boo lives in my hood! It just increases the likelihood that I’ll see the cute girl again.

She was soooo tired when we got home. She had been at her breeder’s all week playing with her brothers and sisters and had a bath that morning and was beat. She took a quick 30 second cat nap then was up and at em again.

A fave on the right below.

Boo loves to sit in the doorway and watch the world go by. Love her.

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving! My family and I decided to make it easy this year- delicious take out from Pasta & Co, a pre-cooked ham and a yummy marionberry pie from Metropolitan Market made for a hassle-free, relaxing dinner, with NO cooking involved! We even had a leftover bottle of french cider that had been in my fridge for months (unopened of course). This was the first time nobody cooked, and I think we started a trend, as we were all raving about how awesome it was to just relax. We even had energy to play Yahtzee. (My mom won by 2 points! Go mom!)

Back to work with me now, as you can imagine I have my hands full! Happy Saturday. :-)
