Borrowlenses lens rental contest- you know you want it!

It’s that time again dear photographers. Time to enter the new Borrowlenses lens rental contest! I know you’ve been drooling over that 24mm 1.4 IS L, or the 45mm 2.8 tilt-shift. Or what about a macro lens for those adorable up-close nose and paw shots, or the 70-200 2.8L you’ve been debating on buying? What lens would make your pretty little heart sing in this wonderful new year? Think about it!

Up for grabs is a $150 gift certificate to the fabulous borrowlenses lens rental service, who we all know and adore. You know you want it, but you gotta follow the steps below to enter!

To enter, here is what you need to do:

  1. Leave a comment on this blog post (if reading via rss or facebook, you must click through to the Cowbelly blog and leave a comment there. Facebook comments won’t be counted). Your blog comment should contain the item you would like to rent if you win.
  2. Go to the BorrowLenses.com fan page (hyperlink http://www.facebook.com/borrowlenses), become a fan (like them).
  3. Link to this giveaway and post it on your facebook page. You must tag BorrowLenses in your status. To do this all you have to do is be a fan of BorrowLenses.com, and in your status update, type the @ symbol and type in BorrowLenses.com. Before you hit share, you will need to click on the lock icon left of the share button and choose that everyone can see it. If the link turns blue on the page, that means you did it correctly.
  4. Follow borrowlenses on twitter (hyperlink twitter.com/borrowlenses)

That’s it! Pretty sweet and pretty simple considering it might mean a week spent with your favorite lens!

You can hang it, you can frame it, you can stare at it all day, you can use it for kindling, you can give it to your dog as a toy, you could even break it up into 13 coasters for the year of 2013! Yippee! I’ll be emailing you momentarily for your shipping addy. Congratulations! :-)

For the curious- the comments on the blog display from oldest to newest, with the oldest displaying at the top of the comment list, and the newest displaying at the bottom of the list. #2 here made it easy for me! lol

A little contest- win a 2011 Cowbelly cats or dogs Wall Calendar!

Yes, that’s right. You know you want one. Now you’ve just gotta decide which one you want- cats or dogs. “What is she talking about?” you ask? Why, the last post on this here blog! You can win a 2011 Cowbelly Cats OR Cowbelly DOGS wall calendar, and all you need to do is this (don’t worry, it’s easy):

  1. Check out the calendar pages for January through December for both the cats and dogs calendars here.
  2. Tell me in a comment on this blog post (click through to the blog if reading on Facebook or RSS), which month has your favorite photo in it and why it’s your favorite.
  3. Tell me which calendar you want if you win- cats OR dogs.
  4. Cross your fingers.

That’s it!

I will pick a comment at random using the lovely randomizer, and ship the calendar of your choice to you! And get this- it doesn’t matter where in the world you live. borrowlenses.com contest: win a free one-week rental!

It’s that time again folks. Time for another fun contest! Yes, you know you want to rent that fancy new tilt-shift, or that macro with IS. C’mon now, surely there is one fantasy lens you must get your hands on. Now’s your chance!

logoOur awesome friends over at Borrowlenses.com have been kind enough to make available a free week long lens rental (excluding super telephoto lenses) to be given away here on the Cowbelly blog.

If you enter you can stand to win a free one week rental of any lens. So my photo snap happy friends, read the post below to figure out how to sign yourself up. You have nothing to lose and may just win a rental of that sweet tilt-shift lens you have been coveting.

The contest ends DECEMBER 1st, 2009 at Midnight. But get your comments in now! I want to see what you guys want to rent. :-)

In order to be eligible you need to:

  • Contest open to only those in the US. Lens rentals cannot be shipped to other countries.
  • Be located in the United States.
  • The lucky winner will place the order online at BorrowLenses.com and they request a credit card number to cover the risk of a no-return. They will not charge your credit card. BorrowLenses.com is a reputable business but if you don’t feel comfortable with this condition, please don’t enter.
  • Be able to place an order online with a credit card. No charges will be made, this is merely a technicality. (Don’t fret over this- I read the terms and it’s no biggie at all. It’s just their way of protecting themselves should the contest winner run off with their fancy new Canon telephoto.)
  • The offer excludes super telephoto lenses and pro camera bodies.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Check out Borrowlenses.com to find something you’d be interested to rent. Let me know what lens you hope to rent. I won’t hold you to this if you win. I’m just curious. I know the lens I’d like to rent. Anyone want to guess as to what it is?
    Note: Available lenses are for Nikon and Canon cameras. Not a Nikon or Canon user? Consider their lighting and tripod equipment.
  2. Add a comment to this post with the item you’d be most interested to rent. Please leave your email address if your name does not link back to a website.
    Note: Your blog comment is worth one entry to the contest.
