Part of professional pet photographer Jamie Pflughoeft’s long-term ongoing personal project of photographing dogs in front of graffiti walls, which Jamie began in September 2008. Shooting for clients is fun, but as a photographer, shooting for yourself is awesome.

Jamie is looking for models for this project, so if you are able to travel to the location of Jamie’s choice in the city of Seattle for a shoot with your obedient pooch (must be able to sit and stay in unfamiliar environments), please drop us a line at 206-335-8096 or info@cowbelly.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

Mazzy & Zen Graffiti Dogs

Finally updating the blog! :-) These cuties are Mazzy (the adorable pug puppy), and Zen, her beautiful older sister, both photographed for my Graffiti Dogs Project. Mazzy was hands-down the easiest puppy I have ever worked with. See the video I uploaded to my Facebook wall for proof. Enjoy! :-)

Mazzy & Zen Graffiti Dogs

Did you notice that Mazzy has a little heart on her forehead? awwww…..

Mazzy adorable pug puppy head tilt graffiti.

I love the colors in the following diptych.

*note: no pugs were harmed during the filming of this session. all foreign material was promptly pulled from all pugs’ mouths.

Some of these images were featured in a special article on my Graffiti Dogs Project in the spring 2011 issue of the lovely CityDog Magazine. Definitely pick up a copy on newsstands, subscribe, or at the very least, check out the awesome new CityDog 2.0 website, where you will find an entire community of dog lovers. It’s like Facebook, only way cooler, and for dogs. :-)

Henri & Lola Graffiti Dogs Project

UPDATE 8/4/10: it is with an incredibly heavy heart and tears streaming down my face that I report that Henri died suddenly of heart failure 2 weeks ago. I got word from his mom yesterday, and I can’t wrap words around how deeply sad I am for his parents, and how much I will miss the sweet boy. I can’t believe he’s gone, and it’s just not fair that dogs have to die so young. It’s just not fair. I plan to do a proper memorial post after I get back from my NYC trip (leaving tomorrow AM), so that everyone can give Jerri and her family their well-wishes there. So sorry to be the bearer of bad news. RIP Henri, we love you. Sniff. :-(

=======================================================================

Henri is one of my very favorite models to work with (some of you may remember him from the cover of AAA’s Journey Magazine), and recently he brought his baby sister Lola for me to work with too for a fun Graffiti Dog’s shoot. They were both consummate professionals, and made it far too easy for me to do my job. Thank you Henri & Lola!

Happy Birthday Fergie + Ocean Bound!

It’s my girl’s birthday today, and we’re off to the ocean to go play for the rest of the week. I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she sees the beach and ocean for the first time. I might just have to take video of it and share it here. See y’all next week!

Since no post is complete, here is a recent shot of the Fergs, taken at my Graffiti Dog’s shoot last weekend. I hadn’t planned on bringing her, but she gave me puppy dog eyes so I let her come. Boy am I glad I did.
