annnnnd, the winner is!

The winner of the borrowlenses.com $150 gift certificate is Laura Kennedy of Kennedy Photoart!! Laura was picked in a random selection on random.org, and got her entry in just in time at 9:11pm last night, just 10 comments short of the midnight cutoff time. Just goes to show, you are never too late to win!

Laura said in her contest entry she’d like to rent the ‘Canon 70-200 IS USM’. I just have one question for you Laura- f/4.0 or f/2.8? Now you’ll have to decide because YOU WON!!

(Laura I have a blog post on the topic of the Canon 70-200 f/4 vs f/2.8 if you are interested.)

Thank you so much to the 674 people who entered, and just remember, even if you didn’t win, it doesn’t mean you can’t still get your hands on that hot piece of gear you’ve been eying. Check out the full selection on the borrowlenses.com lens rental website.

A few notes on the contest:

1. My sincere apologies to the many people who had issues commenting. One little line of code (‘exit’), in one little file on my server was wreaking havoc with my Ajaxed plugin, and the problem wasn’t fixed until about 9:30pm Monday night.

2. There were many duplicate entries, but I deleted all of them from the list. Because I have comments sent to my inbox in apple mail, and because apple mail allows you to organize emails by conversation, finding duplicates was easy. I even double and triple checked IP addresses and emails on same names to make sure every comment was above the board. Even with the commenting issue this contest was as fair as it can get. Pay no attention to the number of comments on the blog. The actual number of entries was 674. Wow, that’s a lot of people!

3. Those of you who commented on the borrowlenses facebook page, twitter, Cowbelly page or sent me an email with your comment WERE entered! Your comment was entered at the time you emailed/facebook or twitter commented.

4. I promise future contests will be glitch-free!

Thanks everyone for playing and now go off to the borrowlenses.com website and get yourself a toy! :-)

Mac & Mabel

Mac & Mabel’s shoot was done at the tail end of the fall on a gorgeous sunny day on the Edmonds waterfront. It’s shoots like this that make me so grateful to have a job I adore. We are currently working on a photobook of these adorable kids, and I’m loving every minute of staring at their photos. Hope you think they are as cute as I do!

Mac has the cutest little bowed legs.

It’s pretty hard to believe that Mac is 13 and arthritic!

Thank you so much Edna for such a fun shoot! I can’t wait to get your triptych and photobook to you!
