A rare behind the scenes look at me taking pictures of dogs, or, in this case- my dog. Photo courtesy of Chris Cook, a lovely consulting client who was in town earlier this week from Oklahoma. I had no idea Chris was taking pictures of me at the time but I thought it was pretty cool seeing them later on. Thanks Chris!
Above you see me taking the picture, and below you see the picture I took.

Sorry about the lack of sparse blog posts lately. I’ve been entrenched in a big project that will be immediately apparent tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Wow, you got a great picture of your dog, I love it!!!!!
I also learned a trick to dog photography by noticing you holding the tennis ball thrower to get the dogs attention. I shall try that next time
with something that my dogs favor.
Haha too engrossed in the moment to realise it eh? Love the end result
Awww…I was hoping it was a movie! Great photos!
BTW – nobody wears Adidas anymore…
@steve- only the cool kids wear adidas, hee hee. sadly I ceased being cool the moment I stepped in dog poop during this shoot. oh well, I tried!
My dog would jump at the ball and knock me over if I did hold it by the camera close to the ground. He is still such a puppy
Love that picture, it is not often that photographers get a chance to keepsake those fun creative moments in the midst of the action! Now you can have both sides of the scene, the “on stage” picture you took and the “off stage” one by your friend! I love how it tells a story!
Flo
LOL!!! For a second I thought you had mounted the ball to your camera hotshoe like a pez dispenser and I thought well that’s a cute idea to get the dogs attention. Love the final image!
@Flo- Fergie does the same thing, I just have to make sure I work fast, and gauge when she’s about to jump on me. Lol! @Melissa- love the idea of a tennis ball mounted on the hot shoe. Hmm, something to think about!
Love the tennis ball idea!!
