Lulu was special for me as she was the very first Leonberger I have ever photographed. I didn’t even know what they looked like until I met Lulu. She was so cute and sweet, and also (I think), very dramatic looking. I really wanted to capture that drama in her photos, so I took her into the sliver of gorgeous winter sunshine near a beautiful tree and would have stayed there for hours photographing her if she had had any interest in our shoot whatsoever. As it was, she was far more interested in getting hugs than having her picture taken. Lol.
I love doing shoots in December because when the sun is out, the light is phenomenal. This shoot was at about 11:30am.
Thanks for being my first every Leonberger Lulu! I will never forget you.

Wonderful photos. I love how you did some landscapes on her body. I always wanted to write a poem called THE LANDSCAPE OF MY DOG, but sadly, I am not a poet.
