borrowlenses.com contest: win a free one-week rental!

It’s that time again folks. Time for another fun contest! Yes, you know you want to rent that fancy new tilt-shift, or that macro with IS. C’mon now, surely there is one fantasy lens you must get your hands on. Now’s your chance!

logo borrowlenses.com contest: win a free one week rental! Our awesome friends over at Borrowlenses.com have been kind enough to make available a free week long lens rental (excluding super telephoto lenses) to be given away here on the Cowbelly blog.

If you enter you can stand to win a free one week rental of any lens. So my photo snap happy friends, read the post below to figure out how to sign yourself up. You have nothing to lose and may just win a rental of that sweet tilt-shift lens you have been coveting.

The contest ends DECEMBER 1st, 2009 at Midnight. But get your comments in now! I want to see what you guys want to rent. :-)

In order to be eligible you need to:

  • Contest open to only those in the US. Lens rentals cannot be shipped to other countries.
  • Be located in the United States.
  • The lucky winner will place the order online at BorrowLenses.com and they request a credit card number to cover the risk of a no-return. They will not charge your credit card. BorrowLenses.com is a reputable business but if you don’t feel comfortable with this condition, please don’t enter.
  • Be able to place an order online with a credit card. No charges will be made, this is merely a technicality. (Don’t fret over this- I read the terms and it’s no biggie at all. It’s just their way of protecting themselves should the contest winner run off with their fancy new Canon telephoto.)
  • The offer excludes super telephoto lenses and pro camera bodies.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Check out Borrowlenses.com to find something you’d be interested to rent. Let me know what lens you hope to rent. I won’t hold you to this if you win. I’m just curious. I know the lens I’d like to rent. Anyone want to guess as to what it is?
Note: Available lenses are for Nikon and Canon cameras. Not a Nikon or Canon user? Consider their lighting and tripod equipment.
  2. Add a comment to this post with the item you’d be most interested to rent. Please leave your email address if your name does not link back to a website.
Note: Your blog comment is worth one entry to the contest.

Deadline: Tuesday December 1st, 2009 at Midnight PST

The winner will be randomly chosen and announced here on Wednesday December 2nd.

Thanks for taking part and good luck!

The Canon 50mm f/1.2 most definitely!!! I’m afraid that once I have it in my hands there will be nothing that could stop me from buying one, oh except the cost :) Seriously I would love to try this lens out and see what it can do, I love my 50 f/1.4 by far out of my current lineup of lenses.

I would definitely rent the 5D MKII since I’ll need it for a wedding shoot in January! But if I had to choose a lens, it would probably be the 24mm f/1.4.

Funny enough, I have just ordered the 70-200mm f/2.8 for a week. I always thought tele is the way to go with animals and I’m sure I will love this. But i read about your favorite lens and I also started to fall in love with my cheapo 50mm, so the lens I reeeaally want to give a try now is the 24mm/1.4. Totally new experience, lots to experiment! That would be so much fun!

I would rent either the Simga 12-24mm or the Canon 17-40 f/4 as I’m getting into some photography jobs where 24mm is just too narrow.

I would rent a tilt-shift lens for Nikon to use in an upcoming project I have been planning for a long time. I want to do a time-lapse series of various areas around downtown Seattle, as I have never seen this kind of project done in this particular style. I have never been able to afford a tilt-shift lens so being able to rent it would be a great asset!

Oh what a great contest from a great company!!! I’ve used BorrowLenses a few times and have had nothing but the finest experience and customer service! That said, I’d probably go with either my tried and true 28-70 mm f/2.8 or the 70-200. Gotta give it a whirl! Thanks guys!

I’ve really been wanting to give the Nikon 24mm f/3.5D ED PC-E a test run, and was actually set to rent one from borrowlenses.com for a wedding I was scheduled to shoot in August, but that damn cancer just wouldn’t stay in remission long enough and I had to cancel the wedding (I found them someone else), so that I could have more chemo and a stem cell transplant.

Thanks for the shot at the free rental!
