Ruby Decopaw art

Ruby’s art I am currently working on. Behind on doing proof revisions, something I do for the vast majority of clients. Many art pieces needs a little tweak here and a little shift there to be ‘just right’ before being sent off to the printer. I have been battling a chronic illness the past month (one that has been around for two years and seems to be worse during the first quarter), and although I thought I was on the upswing last week things actually got worse, which has left me behind on so much. So now I am doing the best that I can and trying to get the most important things done every day. Also taking my ‘magic tonic’ which has amazing curative properties even though it tastes like moldy herbs in alcohol! Mmm, mmm….

Ruby. Her proofs are unique in that I have never done anything like this before. I am working with size contraints, so instead of choosing the size from my price sheet, we designed our own based on my client’s space. And what is so cool about this commission is that my client is agreeing to go with my idea of doing 3 separate tall canvases instead of one large triptych. I positively can’t wait to see how it looks on their wall!

Imagine the 3 proofs below as separate canvases. I want to do this for my home too!

I would love to do a die-cut triple fold card with the following proofs. A thin black border around each of them would look so cool.

If I get a chance to photograph Ruby’s art once hung I will share those shots here.

Tiggz Decopaw art

Next up, Mr Tiggz, who some of you may remember from his sneak peek post, and also his photobook. His mom absolutely adores him.

This first one was what I call a ‘wildcard’. I frequently design a proof in the colors and design that I think the client would like, but is not necessarily what they asked for. Do they ever order the wildcard? Yes! About 30-40% of the time.

Kyah decopaw art

This week I am getting a bunch of Decopaw art canvases back from my printer (should be in today!) and will be stretching them and prepping for some very patient clients who have been waiting for their finished pieces. Thought I would post some of my favorite proofs. For those who are new to my blog, along with doing pet photography I also design art from the photos I take as well. It’s called ‘Decopaw’.

Kyah’s proof on the left is the one that is being printed big on canvas. Of course, my favorite is the blue sky proof in the middle, because we all know how enamored I am with blue sky. :-)

Mattie sneak-peek

I will let Mattie’s images speak for themselves. Be sure to read his info in the first set.

Discovery Park. One of my favorite places for dog photography.

Mattie could not possibly be more loved by his parents, who are doing everything in their power to keep him healthy. The love in this family is tangible.

I am so in love with Mattie.

Mattie fast asleep in his favorite bed with his favorite little teddy bear.

Please say your prayers for Mattie. He is very sick and apparently had a tough weekend, although I would have never known by his behavior during our shoot. I have been thinking about him since I left him around noon on Sunday. Such a sweet little guy, I really hope he rallies.
