IS is essential for telephoto in anything except bright sunlight. I'd much rather have the f4 IS than the f2.8 non-IS personally, if weight or cost is an issue. Will you be adding a 5D Mk II soon? The ISO 1600 and 3200 samples just blow my 20D-using mind...nice shots as ever BTW - are some of them slightly over-sharpened though or is it my eyes?
