Whidbey anniversary party date change + summer newsletter

Because I am so behind on, well, everything (story of my life this year), I have decided to reschedule my 5-year anniversary party from this Sunday to Sunday August 3rd. I will include the date change in my summer newsletter I will be emailing out asap. If you’d like to receive the newsletter, be sure to add your email addy at the very bottom of this blog. This is the fattest newsletter yet with the most news, so don’t miss out!

New painting featuring the summer issue of CityDog Magazine

I was positively delighted when Brandie sent me the photo of this amazing painting a couple of weeks ago. It’s called ‘Barkalounger’, was painted by  Washington artist Connie Townsend, and is on display over in Kirkland, Washington at the Howard/Mandville Gallery. It is for sale and I don’t know if it’s still there but you can call Pat Howard at the gallery and find out: 425-889-8212. It is of course an original one-of-a-kind and features the summer issue whose cover was shot by yours-truly. Of course, I love it because it’s a pug. Go pugs!! I get to shoot another pug tomorrow night, yippee. :-)

Update

Hi all! We’re still here! Christina and I have been busy, busy bees setting up our new office in the new studio. Friday we went to Ikea to get furniture and supplies. Drove back to Seattle with a car packed full of stuff and an upholstered chair tied to the roof. Saturday we spent the day painting. Sunday I had a shoot, and then we finished painting. Yesterday I had a shoot and then we started building furniture.

Today I will be hustling to get the Dog Book finished (sorry Jill! I plan to ship it today overnight!!), then will catch up on client work tonight- Angie Dozer’s images will (finally) go online tonight! Tomorrow and Thursday we will actually be doing the move- packing my office and moving the furniture and boxes into the new office and getting everything set up and the computers online.

It has been a huge amount of work and pretty physically tiring. Every day I have had just enough time to take a 5-minute shower and get maybe 5-6 hours of sleep. Last night I had string cheese and applesauce for dinner because I was too sore to go out and find food. :-)

Along with setting up my new office, I have been doing loads of photography as well. Picture me covered with paint, quickly changing my clothes at the studio, then running out to do a photo shoot. That has been the story of my life the last 3 days, ha!

But I am super happy with everything and positively cannot wait to get into my new space. Fergie came and checked it out yesterday and she approves, especially since there is another dog Parker there and yet a 3rd dog Bella who is a regular visitor.

I will get back to blogging as soon as I can- for now, photography and office stuff take priority. I will post pictures of my new studio and office this weekend!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! :-)

Christina is back!

Christina is now officially back at work, YAY!! We have spent the day trying to catch up on emails and other work. I still have a couple of phone calls to make, and about 4 emails and we will be caught up, yippee!!

And it’s a good thing too because this weekend we will be moving into our new office/studio space, which needs to be painted first.

We are going to have a very busy next few days, and I am so very happy she is back. I don’t know how I ever lived without her these past six weeks and don’t think I’d ever like to try again.

To our clients who have waited so patiently for products/emails/phone calls from me, thank you sincerely for being so patient. I am lucky to work with such a great group of people who love their dogs as much as I do mine.

Now we are off to the studio to take measurements and plan our Ikea shopping list, woohoo!
