First, my apologies for the sparse posts lately! I am working hard on several big projects, one to be announced in March, the other (big, big project) will be announced closer to summer (but hopefully sooner).
This is hands-down the busiest 1st quarter Cowbelly has ever seen, both in terms of client work and other opportunities, and I believe my prophecies about 2008 are already coming true. While this month is already starting to feel a bit like the holidays in terms of workload, I wouldn’t give it up for love nor money and am so happy with everything that is going on.
To my clients who have been patiently waiting for art proofs or prints, I promise I haven’t forgotten about you. Thank you sincerely for your patience and understanding. 🙂
Now, onto this post that has nothing to do with pet photography….
I feel so privileged to live where I do, in one of the most beautiful cities in the country (IMHO). Many people believe that it rains every day of the year in Seattle but that really isn’t the case. The shots below were taken in December and January respectively, and are proof that you never know what you will get in the Emerald City.
The shots above were taken last month at Queen Anne’s Kerry Park, shortly after I looked out my window and saw the fiery sunset. “Holy cow! I’ve got to capture that!” I thought. I wanted to use the image to make a sky gradient out of for my Decopaw art, which is exactly what I ended up doing. In the 2nd shot I was experimenting with blur. After I noticed the planes flying overhead I thought it would be cool to make all of the lights streak.
This last shot above was taken in December on the way home from a photo shoot. I was cruising along the Alaskan Way viaduct and held my camera up to the window as I was driving. Not the smartest thing in the world to do but hey, I couldn’t help it! Pretty sunset + camera in my lap = no brainer. 🙂
Hope everyone is having a terrific week!!
