Yay I’m back! New doggie pic of the week

Such a sad time to not have my blog working as I was all raring to show the world all kinds of fun new pet products I found online. A few of them can be found below, and the rest I will post when I have more time.

In the meantime, enjoy this photo of Ramone, the cutest yellow lab I have ever met. He was super-duper photogenic, and even recovered nicely after a scary incident involving a children’s slide.

It’s a good thing I wasn’t drinking anything when I saw this picture because it surely would have come out of my nose, lol!

Yippee I can blog again!!

More cool, hip, modern pet products for the home…

I am supposed to be doing my taxes, and have spent the past 2 hours doing anything but. So I thought I’d put up a new post to kill even more time.

I found some more pet products online, including from a site that I couldn’t pull away from. It has some of the most unique ‘everyday’ things I have ever seen.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), I have a most unmodern pad, as it is in a ’spanish-revival’ style building, and has deep stucco walls and arched doorways and coved ceilings and wrought-iron light fixtures. My apartment is filled with comfy overstuffed furniture, rustic wood armoires and lots of warm colors. I say ‘unfortunately’ because oddly enough my taste tends to run to the modern side (although I have seen enough mid-century modern to last a lifetime, but that’s a whole other blog), and many of the cool pet things I have found are in a more modern vein, and therefore would look out of place in, well, my place.

Here are a few examples of more cool pet stuff for one’s pad:

I just may have to buy this chihuahua bank, since it is in my favorite color and is just about the cutest thing ever

OR, If a pug is more your style, how about this guy?:

I swear if I wasn’t such an ‘adult’ I would have an apartment that looks like Pee Wee’s Playhouse- filled with doggie toys!

Doggie pics of the week- Tyson & Oscar

Last weekend was a long-awaited shoot for Tyson and Oscar of Mill Creek, Wa. This shoot was for a gift certificate that was a Christmas gift last year, and I think we ended up booking and rescheduling a couple of times before I made it up there. Poor Tyson had a lump removed and Oscar was on ‘bed rest’ due to a bad leg.

I was so excited to finally meet the boys as I love boxers. I think if I was a dog I’d be a boxer or a lab. I used to think great dane/lab cross because I’m tall but great danes are very graceful, and I am , well, NOT.

So the boxer personality is right up my alley.

What I really loved was how unique each boy was in terms of personality. Tyson was more shy (until he got to running around like a crazed beast in the yard) and Oscar was all ham. AND all about his orange rubber ball.

Here is Tyson going nuts. Look at the lips, he looks like a gorilla, ha ha ha hee hee

It’s a good thing he wasn’t the one with the bad leg.

Here is Oscar with his ball. I think this is my favorite of the bunch of the boys.

It’s really amazing that a dog that has a crack- I mean- ball addiction, can tolerate holding the desired object on their nose. This was a most impressive trick by Oscar!

Tyson gone and done tuckered himself out after all of those ‘yard zoomies’. He could barely keep his eyes open on his dad’s lap. Look at his little lip! I love it. :-)

Oscar started doing some relaxing too, although he was still pretty interested in what I was doing, although I really think he just wanted me to give him his ball.

Tyson couldn’t fight it any longer.

2 seconds later and he was out…….mmmm, sleep….
